Editable Nobilis Character Sheets

The Great White Book

The Great White Book

I love love love Nobilis. If you have found this page, I’m sure you do too. (If you don’t, it must be because you haven’t read The Great White Book yet, as all who do fall in love with it.)

When I ran my first Nobilis game, I combined my obsessive love for Nobilis with my chronic geekdom, and created a set of Nobilis PDF character sheet that you can edit and save digitally. Not only can you type in some prose into these sheets. Oh no! They are smart!

How smart? Well, you can click the level of an Attribute, for example ‘Domain, level 2’ and the sheet will give you your character’s official title of ‘Viscount’. Declare your ‘Code’, for example ‘Heaven’ and your Code’s three tenets will automatically be displayed for easy reference. Have a hard time keeping track of the many options for ‘Gifts’? No worries! Helpful dropdown boxes will help you stay on the straight and narrow.

So go on! Get your sheets below! They are all editable and super-funky!

I also have two special versions of the Character and Imperator sheets that differ only in the available codes, replacing the Wild with Aaron, Chaos and Order.

I hope you will enjoy these character sheets. If you do, please contact me and let me know!

What is this place anyway?

The main purpose of this site is not Nobilis character sheets. (That would be crazy nieched!) No, this is actually a site that explores the struggles and benefits of living like a nomad without a fixed home, as well as general philosophies around how to live self-directed, authentic and exciting lives. Why don’t you check it out? And if you’d like to show your appreciation for these character sheets, please share The Modern Nomad with friends and social media! (It really really helps me.)

No Third Edition?

All these sheets are for the second edition of Nobilis. I have nothing for the new Third Edition which, quite frankly, I just found out about! How exciting!)

When I first heard of your love of roleplaying I wondered if I could be convincing at something like that. But I wiki-ed “Nobilis” and looked at your sheets. This looks cool! Where do you recommend one goes to find out more about Nobilis? The article I read did not explain the game well enough. It is obviously fairly complex. I presume it must be played in a non cyber setting? Or is there a cyber version nomads and others can play with friends from afar?

    1. Gustav, the Modern Nomad says:

Alas, the best place to start would be to buy the book. The Great White Book is the one I read, and that is the second edition. That is the most beautiful book I’ve ever laid my hands on, but it is also out of print. The third edition is out as a kindle book on amazon. (If you buy it, use the link below as I get a small commission.) I have not read that version, but people speak highly of it.

Nobilis: the Essentials, Volume 1: Field Guide to the Powers

Beware though, Craig, as I know you imagination and mind, Nobilis might just blow it to pieces. It is truly wonderful.

You can get a .pdf download of the second edition “Great White Book” from drivethrurpg if you’re still looking!

This post is quiet old, so you might not still be looking at comments, but I was just wondering where you got the codes fo rorder, chaos, and Aaron’s? Are they just something you made up, or have I missed them in the books somewhere?

    1. Of course I’m still looking at comments. The rest of my blog here is quite active. 🙂 What is pretty old hower is this character sheet, and I haven’t had the fortune to play Nobilis for a while. In short, I don’t remember where I got them from. They were not from the official books however. That much I remember.

I see your other blog has lost activity, but I thought I would ask:

I’m a student at a state university, and we’re going to be playing Noblis and we have been shown your site as a resource for these character sheets! A couple of us did have a question though; have you considered or do you know the logistics behind getting these as a template on Roll 20, possibly?

    1. Hello. So, I keep hearing about Roll 20, but I’ve never used it. In fact, my RPG days are kinda behind me since I started travelling. I like the face to face of RPG, and well, online didn’t really appeal all that much. So, in short, no, I wouldn’t know how to do that. Glad you found my Nobilis sheets though!
